In the early years of Look clipless pedals I traveled to France quite a bit and had friends stationed courtesy of IBM in the Franco-phile home world. Few shops in the early 80's had any component in stock that was any other than French thread. I did repair quite a few transplanted French purchased bikes that had one very common problem. The English thread (9/16 x20) Look pedals were forced with some enthusiasm into French (14mm) thread cranks with quite a bit of damage and misalignment. Retapping to English threads saved the cranks and pedals and for all I know they are still being ridden.

I have never seen or seen advertised French threaded Look pedals even in France but they could exist but would be as rare as a $7100.00 PX10!

clipless pedals ever produced, even by Look ? >>

Can't say about that, but those cranks tap out so easily to 9/16"! (What was I saying about staying original? )

Remember, we now know that PX-10s are worth $7100.00!!! ;-)
