The funny thing is, the seller uses the fact that they can crack as a reason to bid! Sort of like "these break, so you should buy lots of them" (paraphrase), an odd way to advertise something for sale. I kinda liked it though.

I forget where I came across this photo and story; a posting on usenet maybe. If I remember the story correctly, owner said he was JRA when it flew apart like this, and Campy said no to warranty replacement because it was a track hub and he was riding it on the road. He said Campy doesn't warrant track parts for road use because track parts aren't built to withstand the stresses of road riding.

Yes I know how ridiculous a position this is for Campy to take. I'm not asserting Campy really said that, only that this one guy reported that Campy said that. Anyone else know more, is Campy really that butt-headed?
