Greetings,

My name is Brian and I've been observing the list for about a month to get a flavor for what CR is all about. I live in Long Beach and am getting back into cycling after a long hiatus.

My start in the world of what are now considered vintage bikes was with an early 1970's Ital Vega Super Speciale (full Campy NR). I also got into racing and rode in a club called Ciclistas Capistrano. One of the members was the soon to be famous Brian Baylis. Next was an early California Masi with two plate fork crown which I sold (if I only knew then what I know now!!!). I finally ended up with a custom filet brazed Eisentraut which I still have. When I got the Eisentraut I wanted it to be different from all of the lugged bikes. Now I wish I had gotten it lugged instead.

My stable now includes the Eisentraut, an early 1980's Ron Cooper that I bought at Velo Rendezvous and a (gasp) NOS 1996 Serotta Atlanta that I picked up at a killer price (at least it's steel and lugged). I'd like to add a classic Italian road bike (Colnago Super, De Rosa, or Masi GC) and classic Italian track bike to my stable, all in 54 CM c-t-c. If anyone knows of a complete bike or frame/fork please let me know. I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on the ebay Pinarello Track bike that Roy Drinkwater (thanks for the heads up) pointed out on the list.

The CR list is great and I feel fortunate to have found it.
