Subject: [CR]Grinding rear derailleur ear

I have noticed that when using Campy dropouts with some Suntour rear derailleurs that the slant of the parrellogram doesn't come quite parrallel with the chainstays no matter how much you back off the adjuster screw. This keeps the derailleur wheels a bit too far from the freewheel. Has anyone had luck with grinding off a bit of the derailleur "ear", to get the derailleur to pivot up a bit more for snappier shifting? The other choice would be to grind off a bit of the dropout ear, but this I believe would be the wrong approach. Garth Libre in Surfside Fl.
