Chuck, Larry & others knowledgeable in early 70's Simplex derailleurs,

Was the recent ebay sale a Super LJ5000, a SLJ5500 or an earlier Super LJ AR.615?

The Dancing Chain Appendix lists the Super LJ AR.615 as introduced in 1972, the Super LJ5000 as 1975 & the SLJ5500 as 1983.

Chuck, for our 1973 RRA's (to be period correct) we need the earlier one. I have a NOS SLJ5500 which I could put on my RRA. But since I really just need one in VG condition (because I'm going to ride it) & I'd prefer to have the older, period original one, I have not installed the NOS 5500.

If anyone has read this far & has the earlier Super LJ AR.615 in VG or better condition they might want to sell, please let me know.
