Re: British made bottom brackets... When we were at Witcomb London, there was a former Gillot's builder named Jim Collier. He told us that he trained Ron Cooper, (but that's not why I'm posting...). We were using British parts from Davis Components in Birmingham and this was clearly marked in each shell on its underside. Jim used to file off just enough letterforms so that it read, - - VIS- COMPONE- - - - and then was very proud to show off to the rest of us that the shells on the Witcombs he produced were of Italian origin. He'd hold one up and call out, " VisCompone. Italian parts, right here in Deptford." It's true. I swear it!! e-RICARDO
