FOUR DIFFERENT POSTERS These are all from a series reprinted by Zefal in France about 10­15 years ago and all measure about 49.5 x 68cm (19 1/2 x 26 3/4in). MERCIER poster repro c1896 Nude lady with Mercier, CLEVELAND CYCLES poster c1901 repro A wonderfully evocative poster with the stars and stripes in the headline, TOURS VELODROME opening poster repro 1890s very art nouveau, TITANIA CYCLES c1900 slightly smaller than the others with cycle held above flames. $18 each.

HOLDSWORTH WHIRLWIND c1955/6 BICYCLE Holdsworth Whirlwind, 1955, 24in (c-t-t), 23in top tube (c-t-c), Stronglight steel 5-pin chainset and Chater Lea pedals, Campag GS front and rear changers with bar-end controls, Prior SF hubs, Weinmann rims, B17 saddle. Very good and what looks to be original green finish with luglining, headbadge and seat tube transfers. GB Hiduminium brakes with Superhood levers and Shockstop hoods. Wrights Autograph ŒSwallow¹ saddle. Frame number 19529. Bantel mudguards. $895

PLAYERS CYCLING CIGARETTE CARD SET 1939 Very clean copy with a complete set of cards which details cycling history from von Drais in 1817 right through to 1939 including recumbents from the 1930s. This set is in excellent condition - no rusty staples or badly stuck in cards. $35

CAMPAG RECORD SMALL FLANGE HUBS 36H These are in good condition with the bearings feeling very smooth - no grittiness at all. The rear hub has the longer axle suitable for six and seven speed freewheels. The front hub shell has a number of scars on the flanges but the spoke holes are all fine. Great for user wheels. Complete with Q/Rs. $30

KARRIMOR SADDLEBAG SUPPORT 1950s/60s the saddlebag straps to the support which has steel prongs that sit in the saddle bag strap holes of most Brooks saddles - not Brooks Pro or Sprinters though. And one strap - I normally use a toestrap - goes around the seatpin. It is 100% secure and quickly lifts off if you¹re shopping or stopping for liquid refreshment! $30

STRONGLIGHT 22.2mm crank extractor complete with boxspanner/dustcap removal tool. No tommy bar. This fits all the earlier pre 1983 Stronglight chainsets. $25

AIRLITE LARGE FLANGE GEAR/FIXED HUBSET 32/40 hole The rear hub has threading for freewheel on one side and for a fixed sprocket on the other. It is in excellent condition - the threads are all good, the bearings feel smooth and the chrome on the centre barrel is virtually perfect. The front hub has smooth feeling bearings but the centre barrel has lost most of its original chrome - but it is not deeply pitted and should rechrome very easily. $105

CAMPAGNOLO SUPER RECORD HEADSET in excellent condition. The bearing surfaces are only lightly worn. The aluminium locknut is almost unmarked as are all the cups and adjusting race. There are no ball retainers. $60

CAMPAGNOLO NUOVO RECORD REAR DERAILLEUR Very good condition dated 1980. There are a few light scuff marks but nothing obtrusive. $45

CYCLO BENELUX SUPER 60 DERAILLEUR in very lightly used condition. The jockey pulley and sprocket show virtually no wear and the parellelogram appears to have no play whatsoever. The Cyclo coloured symbols are all perfect on this example $65

THE PENGUIN BOOK OF THE BICYCLE by Rod Watson and Martin Gray 1978 333pp This very underrated book covers cycle history, the contemporary scene at the end of the 70s (mostly in Britain) and has a superb chapter on the contemporary cycle British cycle industry. This includes interviews with Dave Moulton (before he went to the US), Reynolds, Raleigh ­ this is a long section covering company history, contemporary production and details of the Ti-Raleigh team and their bikes etc. This is the rare hardback edition and it is in excellent condition $20
