Subject: [CR]Cheep Tubulars - Clarification

Hi All:

In my previous post regarding cheep (inexpensive) tubulars I got ahead of myself. I may have mis-spoke with respect to Kevlar 3D Rally tires. I have only recently purchased this particular tire. Actual experience comes from the previous incarnations of these inexpensive tires whose names are "Gran Turismo", "Mondiale" & "Team TSD". The current version, the "Kevlar 3D Rally" seems to be just another model of its predecessors and I don't expect that they are going wear any differently. The member who recommended buying the more expensive tires is correct with respect to their comfort and overall durability. The price differential now is so great, however, that the cheap tires are more attractive. It did not make sense to buy cheap tires when silk tires were not that much more expensive ( along time ago), but at a cost of $10.00 per tire ( this is 1/2 price at retail) it seems to be a decent compromise.
