Stephan,

Welcome! Costa Mesa, huh? Had my shop there just before I moved down to San Diego in 1980. I grew up in Huntington Beach, as did a couple other group members. Haven't you seen a group that two or three times a year blaze past Brookhurst and PCH on a bunch of old bikes? That streak that looked like grey hair blurred with vintage paint was us! We gather at Belmont Shore a couple times a year so that's real close.

Maybe you should come down to San Diego for the ride this Sunday (weather permitting) and hook up with us. Sterling promises pretty girls down by the beach if we swing down that way for a look. Bring some WD-40 along to lube your bike since as an "initiate" of our organization you will be thrown into San Diego Bay as we luncheon at Anthony's. Don't worry, normally by the time we get there the sharks aren't as hungry because several tourists have usually already been sacrificed. As a rule we don't throw stones and push you down with staffs as you try to exit the water unless you have a really cool bike. Then of course we want to keep that. ;-o! We're a real friendly group.
