On the cover of the Peugeot catalog that Chuck Schmidt sells is a photo of Tom Simpson with a long sleeve white jersey with the "BP" logo on the sleeves and black trim on the cuffs and collar. This photo dates to around 1964-65 before his World Championship win. Personally, living in Florida, I would favor a short sleeve version for comfort.
