Cr'ers,

For those of you agonizing over what to bring to Cirque '02 (Theme: English) here are a few possibilities. All prices include shipping within the Continental U.S. I have digitals of most and will have the rest within 48hrs (if the rain stops!!).

In ascending order by age:

1) 1971 WOODRUP Touring: 57cm (to top); 56.5cm (top tube); 17 1/4" chainstays; Angles: 73o (seat tube); 73.5o (head tube); 120mm spacing; 27.2 seat post; Reynolds 531 butted with Campagnolo vertical dropouts; Nice long point lugs; Bridged for 27" wheels but will work fine with 700c if you use a long reach center-pull, e.g., Weinmann 750. Designed for bar end shifters as it has down tube cable stops. It features all braze-ons except for water bottle. It was refinished about 20 yrs ago and doesn't appear to have been ridden or built up since!!! $350.00

2) 1973 Raleigh RRA!!! Yea, I know, Osborn will never speak to me again!! This is an original (and elusive!!) RRA. I honestly don't know how many of these frames Raleigh made (anyone??) but they are unique. 56cm (to top); 55.5cm (top tube); Reynolds 531 throughout; 16.5" chainstays; 72o parallel; Campagnolo vertical dropouts; Nervex Pro lugs; Painted head tube; "CC" cutouts in the bottom bracket shell; 122mm spacing; No braze-ons except for the rear derailleur cable stop. $395.00. If anyone is interested in building this up "as original" I can probably help (or ask Herr Listmeister D. Brown or Larry Osborn!!). Digitals not yet available!!!!

3) ca 1981-82 Raleigh Road Ace. 57cm (to top); 56cm (top tube); Reynolds 531c throughout; 16 1/2" chainstays; Angles: 75o (seat tube); 76o (head tube); These frames were designed to be used with Shimano aero (AX) components and do not have traditional downtube shifter bosses but rather a boss for aero shifters. Likewise, it does not have a rear derailleur cable stop as it was intended for an AX rear derailleur. This is a light frame!! I will include a set of Shimano 600 EX aero shifters as well as a 600 EX headset with this frame. If you don't have an AX rear derailleur, an old fashioned clamp-on cable stop will do just fine!!! $225.00. Digitals not yet available.

4) 1985 Mercian (King of Mercia). 58cm (to top) 57cm (top tube); Reynolds 531c; 16 1/4" chainstays; 74o parallel; 126mm spacing; full compliment of braze-ons including pump peg; Mercian engraved on seat stay caps; nice cut out lugs with painted head tube to match the seat tube paneling; Pretty nice shape ( a few nicks and scratches) and appears to be a current Mercian color (Leaf Green Pearl). $235.00

5) Ron Cooper (mid 80's); 57cm (to top) 55cm (top tube); 126mm spacing; 41cm chainstays; Angles: 74o (seat tube); 75o (head tube); No indication of tubing, but I suspect Reynolds, as the fork has the "classic" Reynolds/Cooper construction. Dropouts are Columbus (front & rear); Braze-on front derailleur and full braze-ons including two water bottle mounts; This frame has NEVER BEEN BUILT UP!!!!! Very nice lugs and lug work; British Racing Green (opinion?). I checked with Bicycle Odyssey as to the age, and was told "mid to perhaps late 80's....." This frame is "understated elegance"!!!! $650.00

Please e-mail for any specific questions, etc........This is simply an "Early Winter Cleaning" of things I have had for several years with no success of getting them together! Besides, Cirque '02 is English!!!!!!

Thanks,
