What,

Yikes, Not another Mario fan! Just kidding, really. A little known talent that Dario Pergoretti has is that he is a US housing subcontractor. Talk about a Maverick frame builder! He last year reportedly welded the stainless steel hand railing along the stairs and upper foyer of Georgio Andretti(sic, Gita Sporting Goods founder and-classic content, Importer of Merckx, DeRosa, Pinarello and or course Pegoretti lightweight framesets ) fabulous new home in Charlotte NC.

Georgio is quite a maverick as well and not the kind of guy that buys his suits off the rack at Sears. I suppose flying in a frame builder from Italy to install your hand rails beats shopping at Home Depot anyway. Those contractors around Charlotte were so busy with a building boom way back last year he probably couldn't schedule the work in time anyway. So he resorted to some connections in the trade back home.

I suppose this is a true story, as I heard it from that great fibber Ken Wallace formally from the area, now known as the Desert Fox (or Desert Rat in some circles) as he does his cycling in Arizona of late. He is a great guy when he's not cheatin me.
