These are not for use with a Derny - Derny racing only requires a slightly raised gear from that normally used for track racing. Riders at Palmer Park Stadium, Reading which has regular Derny racing and has hosted the National Derny championships the last two years are only using about a 95in gear behind Dernys. 85-88in gear is the normal for this track otherwise. These rings are either for roller racing or for paced racing behind the big motors.
