I believe that Francesco Cuevas fled Spain during the civil war in the 1930s and worked in France and Argentina before settling in the U.S. As I understand it, his name didn't appear on frames until either the late 70s or early 80s, although that X in the bottom of the fork steerer, the long tangs on the inside top of the fork blades, and his form of attaching seatstays to the seatlug are pretty standard on all of the Cuevas frames I've seen. I just don't know whether or not he put those on the Paris-Sport frames and whether or not that was a characteristic of other builders he worked with that he might have copied. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL
