Not so much the wasted time but when it sends out mass emails to everyone in your address book then to everyone in that person's address book if they open it also and so on and so one. It can eventually, with high volumes flowing, crash a server or cause a very big slowdown in the system. For instance...it's what I am doing now. Running a scan on our hospital email server system and shutting down the email system to those at work so no more get opened and no more spread. It appears that the virus scan caught most of them but there were a few that seemed to sqeak by. Walt ------------------------------------------

>John,

> You can get the technical details From Norton's website,

>www.sumantec.com. However, my experience was that (at least in the short

>term) it was more of a nusiance than anything. You would receive emails with

>addresses that were familiar to you but when you opened them, or tried to,

>nothing seemed to happen. Time is wasted in dealing with them. If you get

>many of these, and people who receive a high volume of mail might, alot of

>time is wasted. Dale probably had that experience.

>Paul Patzkowsky -man, is it Monday already?
