Nels,

Honestly, you're right, I don't know you personally and I don't know all that's gone on between you and Chuck, I've only seen emails and posts that looked like you and Chuck were having a disagreement of some sort, the basis of which I'm sure I don't know the whole story.

I was merely replying to Eric Elman's question to the Classic Rendezvous list as to whether or not Baron Corpuz and yourself were the same person. His confusion was understandable I thought (given he was seeing Baron's list and your email address on rec.bicycles.marketplace), and I apologize that I characterized your relationship with Chuck Schmidt as a I did. There was no intention to 'flame' anyone and I believe that many would not characterize such a minor comment as flaming.

Again, please accept my apology, I agree that I was perhaps speaking out of turn. I have never had any issue with you and I hope that this does not preclude our ever having an oppourtunity to do business in the future, should the occasion arise.

To Dale, I've copied the list on this because I wanted to apologize there for making the comment as well. Won't happen again. Sorry for the OT.

David Bilenkey/Mr. PITA- I think it is fair to say that I do not know you personally, and you do not know me for that matter, especially given we both live on opposite sides of the continent. Imagine the infortunate surprise when I go to answer my email, and I see your foolish little flame on CR list regarding a topic you know nothing about. How would you like to be in the position with the roles reversed? Probably would'nt rank high on your list of best things to do, I imagine. So may I suggest that when you feel the urge to say (post) something that is blantantly asinine, and reveals that you have no clue of what you are talking about, why not keep your mouth closed, rather than open it and removing all doubt. Now if you want to say something behind my back, there is not much I can do about it. However, I would like to suggest there is no need to be a coward, so please just have the common decency enough to tell it me directly, rather than having to find it posted somewhere on the web. Please rest assured that you can rely on me to do the same for you. If all of this Still Makes No Sense to you, may I politely suggest than you speak with Dale Brown Prior to your next urge to flame on the CR list? Thank you in advance. --Nels Cone Seattle WA 206-985-7838 ______________________________________________________________ Subj: RE: [CR]BIOREM/Roadtrips/parts for sale Date: 12/5/01 4:15:28 PM Pacific Standard Time From: dbilenkey@sympatico.ca (David Bilenkey) Sender: classicrendezvous-admin@bikelist.org To: classicrendezvous@bikelist.org (Classic Rendevous)

The last I knew BIOREM is/was Nels Cone, general all around PITA for Chuck ;-). Baron Corpuz he is is not!

BTW I just saw today on the iBOB list that Bicycle Classics (Mike Barry) is closing his storefront operation, apparently to concentrate on building bikes (Mariposa) again.
