Well, I discounted it because I don't think it is a possibility much worth considering. I know, never say never, but the causes I listed are so common, and an erroneous brake bridge is hard to imagine. Maybe on cheap TIG'd frames with just a little tube with a hole drilled in it. Framebuilders?????

Plus, the solutions I described are solutions not everyone might have considered, can be implemented by the owner, and should be performed as part of the skullduggery anyways. If the true problem did turn out to be the brake bridge, I think he could figure out the solution to that one by himself. I don't think there would be any home fix possibilities.

Guess I'll be eating my sweaty helmet pads if I'm wrong.
