I have a head badge that is brass or brass plated copper, embossed with the company logo then painted.
The paint is pretty much gone and the brass plating is worn through over about half of it exposing tarnished copper or raw copper.
Here is the question. If I buff the remaining brass plating off what are my options? Paint? Polish the copper and attempt to keep it from turning green?
Is there any not so expensive way to get this to look like all brass again?
I was thinking of polishing it to plain copper then painting the raised area again with black paint like it was, then clear coating the whole thing.
Oh, the badge is off the bike so that makes work a little easier.
