Subject: [CR]LeJeune question (was "another E-Bay Item of Lust")

The appearance of so many nice LeJeune bicycles in recent weeks brought to mind a question I've had for quite some time about these frames. That is, who actually built them? When I visited the LeJeune factory in Maisons-Alfort (near Paris) during 1983, no frames of any sort were actually being constructed there. The frames were brought in from elsewhere, then painted and assembled in that facility. I tried to ask Marcel LeJuene about this but my French was not good enough to really discuss it properly. So I'm still wondering who actually built the frames at that time and what the story was in earlier years. Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
