With normal maintenance you won't wear out your bike in a lifetime of riding! And _every_ part you will ever need, shows up on eBay weekly; and at more than fair prices.

Dia-Compe (Japan) had a license agreement to manufacture copies of Weinmann (Switzerland) product.
