Campy's Record hubs were introduced around 1960. The Tipo hubs were one notch down and essentially replace the Gran Sport hubs which had steel centres. They were available in both small and large flange. There is very little difference in bearing quality between them and the Record but the hub bodies were not quite so well polished and did not have an oiler hole. Regards Hilary Stone
