Subject: [CR]New chains for classic bikes

Anyone know which, if any, of the currently available chains work on classic drivetrains? I note the Shimano IG-90 is still sold and described as "7/8 speed". Will it work well with an old Sugino Mighty/ Suntour Winner/ Suntour Cyclone drivechain? Also looking for a chain to use with a pre-Hyperglide (Uniglide??) 6-speed cassette on on a DuraAce AX equipped bike. I'd like to take advantage of the supposed indexing capabilities of the AX rear derailleur if anyone can ever tell me how to adjust this thing to index (maybe AX indexing is just one of those cycling myths). Will the IG-90 work here?

Also, are any of the currently sold SRAM chains a reasonable substitute for an old SedisSport on the preindex stuff?

Regards,
