Subject: [CR]pic of day special - fantasy mail-order league

(the following is a "pic of day" special event)

Baseball fans have'em. Football fans have'em. Even Tour de France fans have'em. But why should the competitive folks have all the fun!?

Introducing...

BICYCLE PARTS MAIL ORDER CATALOGUE FANTASY LEAGUE

An entirely new concept in fantasy leagues for the cycling enthusiast. We're giving you the opportunity to peruse a genuine 1965 bicycle parts distributors catalogue, and create your own order! What would you buy to outfit your workbench? How many is "enough" spare tubies? How much could YOU hide from your spouse, and where? Will you try to corner the market in aluminum waterbottles?

(Setting the mood)

Imagine you've just returned home from a tough day at the Studebaker plant. "Hogan's Heroes" doesn't come on until 7:30, so you have some time to unwind... grab a church key, open a cold can of Ballentine's, "America's Best Selling Ale!", and relax with your very own "Reliable Merchandise Catalogue".

If you'd like, you can complete an order form and send it in. Imagine how excited you'd be if you were really ordering an entire display card of MAFAC brake pads, or a dozen pairs of Fiamme red-labels, or an entire 1965 Campagnolo Record ensemble, all at (seemingly) BARGAIN BASEMENT PRICES!

Remember, this is just a fantasy league. All items are out of stock. No items will be placed on back-order. No credits will be applied to future purchases from the upcoming 1965 catelogue. We take no responsibility for fantasy items which are lost, stolen, or damaged during shipment. No overseas orders. No underseas orders.

BEGINNING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 20TH, at "Pic Of Day"!
