Subject: [CR]old German bike

Hi all, I'm new to the list, and I would like any info I could get on a bike I've recently acquired. It is a Kalkhoff or possibly Kalhhoff, made in Germany. It has Altenburger brakes, Pivo stem, and Simplex derailers. The fork curves way out to the front, like a crescent moon. The bike is really low, 9 1/4" center of bb axle to ground, 1 1/2" pedal clearence approx. with about a 48" wheelbase. Kottered steel cranks, steel sprockets, 10 speed. Has license plate from 1974. Seat looks like "Frecciadoro". Italian? The Simplex derailers are in great shape. Are they worth much? How about the bike as a collector's item. It Looks it's age. (chipped paint, some rust). Thanks. Gary Adcock
