I remember seeing articles in early 80's on Columbines, and they seemed decent, really beautiful lugged frames back then. But their current art versions as depicted on their web site lack anything I would want to buy or ride, and to me seem just like a bike for the rich and/or those that want to just say they spent X amount on a bike. I will take my Merckx Corsa Extra anyday! Just my opinion though!

Hi gang, Interested in bike frames as artistic expression? Well, I just finished scanning a couple of articles from the late Bicycle Guide, and have posted them on ClubPhoto. Just wander over to: http://members5.clubphoto.com/steve337956/

The articles are in the folders titled "Art Bikes" and "Framed Art". These articles cover some well known builders, such as Erickson, Columbine, Della Santa, and R. Sachs. Wonderful stuff! Might even fall into the catagory of "bike porn"!

enjoy,
