I too own a Nishiki, a Linear model. See picture at http://myweb.wwa.com/~jeverett/cycling/nishiki2.gif.

While I'd never consider it a classic, I would like to know a little more about the bike. Mine has been through several hands, so I'm not even sure what components are original. I added the Hed disk and the GripShifts, but I'm wondering about the Roval 16 spoke, 24" tubular front wheel. Was this original equipment?

Could it be that the Linear was originaly sold as a frame and fork only and built with whatever components the purchaser specified? Anything anyone can add would be appreciated.
