If I remember correctly, the Weyless hubs & seatpost were introduced in early 1976. I was at the Huffy corporate design office the summer of 1976, and my boss had some samples that he was given at the Toy Fair in NYC that past January. Everyone at the office thought they were very cool, especially the skewers. Richard Rose (Toledo, Ohio)

I believe;

Some (maybe all?) of the Weyless products from the mid 70's were designed by Bill Shook, who eventually retrieved the patents for his designs and formed them into American Classic, which incorporated around 1982. I think the hubs are the same general layout as the AC models (not made anymore, except maybe the track hubs). Easy to service. #6001 bearings.
