Subject: [CR]ISO 600x45 tires ?

Friend in Chapel Hill has asked me to help him get a "Surrey" side-by-side trike back into running condition for him. It has a crankset for each rider connected to drum brake rear wheels with Bayless-Wiley freewheels and a fringe on top.

The rear wheels are an ODD size. They have Italian tires that claim to be 24x1 3/4", and the ISO designation 600x45 ! This is the first time I've seen an ISO number that doesn't match anything on Sheldon's Tire Size chart:

so, I am clueless - maybe these are sized for Schwinn S-2 rims ? The rims are stainless, and are shaped like the old rod-brake style rims on the Rudge 4-speed, except that they are a lot smaller.

The guy wants to ride it in parades, with his wife. I'm thinking DisneyWorld ! :-)
