As lurkers are being asked to contribute, here goes. Firstly an introduction, I am Martin Coopland, I receive and read your messages. This is for three reasons, one is for enjoyment, one is to expand my knowledge of bicycles and cycling in general and the last is for commercial reasons, as I have business selling bicycle parts.
Can I deal with the last reason first, I sometimes reply off list to list members who are looking for a particular item that I know I have in stock. I am reluctant to do this often as I believe this list is for enjoyment not profit, but is does sometimes seem mean not to offer an item to a person who needs it. I have been known to offer parts at carriage only, if I feel that it is appropriate, so please do not think that I am "feeding" from your list.
I do gain enjoyment from reading the messages and I am grateful to Dale and all other contributors, I often feel that is difficult to contribute as many of the topics revolve around American manufactured frames, American imported Bicycles and Campagnolo, most of which I know little about.
I shall now have a go at starting some new tacks of conversation.
How many of these frames made it in to the US, if any and in what numbers? 1/ Ellis Briggs 2/ Thomson 3/ Pavone
Can any UK readers (or else where, although I do not think they sold overseas) tell me any thing about Resillion Crimson Star rear mechs?
