Remember, friends, that since the content of the CR list is run through a MimeStripper program that removes ALL non-text attachments, it is not possible for emails received directly from the list itself to be virus-infected by the time you receive them via the List.

Emails you receive directly from list members, though, or other sources, might well be infected.

I speak as an ex-professional in this field - I wrote anti-virus software and took viruses and other malware apart to design detection and removal for years, working for folks like Dr Solomon's and Virex. Bits of my code are still in use in the McAfee antivirus software (and maybe Norton's too, for all I know !)
