Herb (CR Jersey Designer) and other distinguished CR Readers, I don't own a Peugeot or even one piece of French stuff (Ideale 90's are my exceptions)! I feel strange to dress up in the full team kit with clothes to match the bike etc... Having said that, being 1/2 Flemish, I must confess to having ridden my Eddy Merckx Corsa with the Moltini jersey, all Nuovo Record, a few times... I felt like a wannabe (not that there's anything wrong with that... as Seinfeld says). I must see "Lance" clones five times a day on this island alone... Sure Eddy's the best ever, and yes I own everything that bears his name, videos, books, etc, but mixing up the "kit" isn't a big deal. Not many would notice the mismatch anyway. Probably 100 people in the US would say: "isn't that guy wearing a Peugeot jersey and riding a ... what the heck ... it's an Eisentraut?! What the $#*@! Call the fashion police..." I'd really like more variety of COMPLETELY unmarked "fine" (read Allesandro-ish) wool jerseys, that's what we need. I personally plan to mismatch and be darn proud of my Peugeot jersey, nothing classier than that super cool checkerboard! I may buy a Herb-designed CR jersey at the higher price once I see it in the flesh... You never can have too many! Happy Trails, Bruce Van Remortel Guam, Sunny...
