Jeff Groman of Classic Cycles here on Bainbridge Island hosted Antonio Mondonico for a fitting session in November of last year and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mondonico and "Chairman" Bill.

The fitting method was unique, he had the customer sit on a bike of the appropriate size and then made reach measurements from the hip and shoulder. I'm pleased to say that he used my Cinelli for fittings in the 62 cm size. Mr. Mondonico commented that he had worked at Cinelli at some time in the past.

I beleive Jeff sold 12 bikes that day! The Mondonicos are among the last european bike built the old fashioned way, and yet they incorporate a number of cutting edge features such as monostay design, carbon fiber rear stays, and oversize tubing.
