Subject: [CR]Commuting Bags

OK, all you cycle commuters, I visited the self-storage this weekend and retrieved the first few loads of bike stuff stored since my move in July, among them the mid 70's Follis 172 set up with modern SKS mudguards for commuting. As my new job is in consulting rather than executive management, I now routinely take a laptop computer as well as a briefcase home each evening. Can anyone recommend a model of rear panniers well suited to briefcase/laptop daily cargo. I seem to recall discussion of a bag specifically designed for laptops, but don't remember the details. Any advice will be appreciated. Fortunately, Houston weather is a bit better suited for year-round commuting than was NW Pennsylvania.

Regards,

Jerry Moos In Houston, TX, where I probably won't repeat last year's hypothermia from commuting on 7 deg cold.
