I am deeply saddened to find in my mail today an announcement from my cable carrier Adelphia that Outdoor Life Network,the only outlet for bicycle related programming on TV will be moved to digital cable.OLN provided excellent daily live coverage of the Tour de France,Giro and Vuelta, coverage of many of the spring classics,as well as programs like The Bicycle Journal,Gear Guide and a host of mountain bike shows.Prior to OLN being relegated to digital cable,which very few subscribe to,the sister station to OLN, Speedvision was bumped to digital cable.After subscriber complaints came pouring in,Adelphia decided to reinstate Speedvision(love their F1 coverage) at the expense of OLN.I don't know what the subscriber response will be,but I have already voiced my complaint to them and if you have lost OLN I urge you to do the same(www.Adelphia.com) If you are fortunate enough to still have OLN carried by your cable provider,perhaps you should contact them and let them know that you and many others consider OLN a valuable resource and wish to see it remain available. ------------------------------------------ Jay Van De Velde ------------------------------------------ Seal Beach,CA
