Subject: [CR]Pinarello pantographed parts

Never mind the alliteration, I have a dilemma that only this crowd can help me sort out. One and a half years ago, I found a great deal on a Pinarello Treviso loaded with Super Record components. It had a 3-T stem pantographed with Pinarello, as was the large chain ring, and the shifters, and the seat post. Late one night a non-discriminating driver of a rusty van hit me by turning left at an inopportune time. The Pinarello frame crumpled leaving me with a pile of parts. The pile is now on a Torpado frame, incongruous with the name Pinarello stamped all over the parts.

I don't know what to do. I am a bike user, not a collector, though I certainly appreciate the craftsmanship of the Super Record parts and a fine Italian frame. Given that, I can roll forever in comfort and at a high rate of speed, or I could strip the Torpado and sell the Pinarello parts on e-bay. Or I could ride with the status quo just until the day someone on a Pinarello with Super Record parts that say "Torpado" on them happens along. We would have all the required allen wrenches and do the swap roadside. How likely is that to happen?

So can I be proud of my classic given this gross incongruity, or should I do something to correct the situation? Anyone out there have a Torpado with a bunch of Pinarello parts on it???
