I just checked Amazon for copies of The Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World; The Autobiography of Major Taylor. There's a paperback edition that was issued by EP Dutton in 1972, but it's out of print. Still, some copies may be out there.

There's also a hardcover facsimile edition that's part of the the Black Heritage Library collection; its title is "Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World : The Story of a Colored Boy's Indomitable Courage and Success Against Great Odds." It runs $43.95.

There apparently was an abridged version, too, which was only half as long as the original, so it's not worth mentioning.

Oh . . . in the spirit of keeping costs for cycling books at a minimum . . . the copy of the Major Taylor book that's available at the ABE site (straigh from the independent bookseller) for $1400 is also available at the Alibris site for $1545. The very same book, except Alibris takes a hefty cut for itself. Even more shocking is the price at the Barnes & Noble site: $1,894.05 (a 35% mark-up). Same book.
