Subject: [CR]Westminster Swap Meet

The swap meet was GREAT! I rounded up all the shop guys where I work, took them out for breakfast and then car-pooled us all to Westminister. Uncharacteristicly, I ended up arriving a little late.

These meets are are gathering of some of my all time favorite people! I saw so many wonderful CR folks, many local racers I know, lots of shop customers, other shop folks, etc..... (of course, I told everyone I knew about the swap and encouraged folks to come!). Although, Larry Black was noticably missed.

I spent less than $100 and went home with a HiE hubbed super-light, tubular wheelset and a 7speed bike! No one quite knows what the bike is? Nice Rigadi tubulars, old 600 groupo and indexed bar-end shifters. There are stickers all over the bike. We think it's most likely an early Performance bike (who would put on those stickers on purpose?!). I'm thrilled, though. It's just my size and if don't ride it, I'll donate it to a beginner racer. I also picked up a great set of rollers (Ohio Tool and Die Co.) for a friend from Harvery Saches. My all time favorite rollers.

Seems everyone I knew found great buys and hard to find items. Best of all where the wonderful collection of kindred spirits!
