Back then if I broke something, I didn't bother to see if Campy would anty? up. The bike shop had that great cabinet with any Campy part you might need, at a price a little higher than you really wanted to pay. You got the part, put in in and the hub (or whatever) worked as well as it did before the break. Now we're all happy to pay what we have to to get that old NR/SR component working again. My biggest problem was if something broke, chances were I got hurt more than the bike.

... BTW: Back in the 70's and 80's did Campagnolo warranty the axles or was the customer on his/her own?
