As far as I know Harley Davidson never manufactured a bicycle, but only had them made to their spec (IE ~1917-21 by Davis Sewing Machine Dayton Oh), as Indian did later in their marketing (Westfield, Huffman mfg etc.) Most early (pioneer) American motorcycle manufacturers started by making bicycles, making HD unusual in that their motorcycle was NOT descended from a line of bicycles.
