Subject: [CR]Silicon Valley Vintage Ride report

Saturday, 23 February 2002 Hey CR Gang, With another successful ride under our belts, I thought I'd send out a quick note detailing the attendees and the gems that made it out for a nice 25 mile ride in the warm sun today. We started from the wildlife refuge on the eastern end of the Dumbarton Bridge, on the shore of the San Francisco Bay. Heading west, we crossed over the bridge, through Menlo Park, and up to the Plantation deli for cappuccinos and sandwiches. It's always fun to listen to the different conversations going on around the tables. After a filling lunch, we headed back along the same route. * Jim McCoin once again rode his tangerine orange 1975 Masi Gran Criterium which he bought new. * Felix Chiu rode a late 70s Colnago Super with a 1984 Colnago 30th anniversary gruppo by Campagnolo. * John Watkins rode his bright yellow 1990 Mercian Vincitore Special. * Peter Johnson was on his all-original silver 1965 Cinelli Super Corsa. * Jan Johnson rode her 1964 Celeste green Bianchi 'Team Issue'. * Brad Stockwell brought his silver 1974 Carlsbad Masi (#96). * Jim Narlesky rode a 1973 Raleigh Super Course TT. * Guy Apple was on his 1987 Colnago 'Master' with Campagnolo C-Record components and Delta brakes. * Keith Wolhar rode an all-Campy 1995 Waterford 1200. * Stevan Thomas was on his Emerald green 1960's Bianchi Competizione. * Kathleen Kirkish rode a Trek 730.
