I've posted a few pics of the Chesapeake Wheelmen, probably taken in the mid to late 1940s.

Picture #1, 4th rider from the left is F. Sandruck. His dad G.C. Sandruck is 6th from the left.

Picture #2, F. Sandruck in the center, wearing his national champion's jersey. G.C. is second from right. Note that some of the adjustable stems are mounted with the bars on top, while others have the bars below.

Picture #3, F. Sandruck and his wife, who also raced. I saw both of these bikes in 1998, after they'd been stored in a damp basement which frequently flooded. You could push your finger through the rusted frames, a very sad sight. There were another 10 bikes in that basement, including a NOS R/W/B Paramount with the bottombracket rusted off. More 1940s & 1950s racing bikes were rotting away in a shed out back, including a number of Frejus and Paramounts.

Picture #4, roller racing, tall versus short. What is the chainring on the bike on the left? Three rings...

Picture #5, G.C. on a derailleur bike. He was a very tall man, emigrated from Cuba after WW1.

Picture #6, Test-fitting a bike with fenders and hub gear. Get some air in those tires!

Picture #7, G.C. in front of his shop, located at 915 Howard Street, Baltimore. Note the (Cyclo?) derailleur bike in the window. It has drop bars, just visible beside G.C.s head.
