Well, if this helps, they're definitely French. I have a NIB Maxi-Car hubset; the skewers are RFG, and the box, in addition to Maxi-Car, is also emblazoned with the RFG logo and address.

Anybody know if they're still in business? Is Maxi-Car?

I have obtained a NOS RFG front hub, high flange, with Nervex skewer. Cup and cone. Has 6 cut-outs each side of the hub, in the flanges, a la Campy.

Has anyone any details on this obscurity? Seems very smooth and nicely made and finished for its age(but then, so am I). Any idea what RFG stands for.......apart from Really F______ Good, (I am having a hard time at this Wheel of Fortune stuff) ;-)

No mention on the CR site, and a Google search turned up nothing.
