I'd be interested in people's opinions on this entry-level Torpado which, judging from the non aero levers, probably just makes our early 80s guideline.

I've had a hard time getting info out of the seller, who who is either not very knowledgeable, or trying hard to sound not-very-knowledgeable. The components, from what I can gather, are a mix of low end shimano friction stuff (possibly not original?) and low end italian: ambrosio 19 extra rims, ofmega vantage cranks, saccon altex brakes. What I'm wondering is whether this is likely to be a gaspipe frame, or perhaps (I'm hoping) basic butted chromoly. CR says that even low-end Torpados had nice frames, but this seems just a touch newer than the newest examples on CR, so I thought I'd seek advice here. Apologies in advance if this bike is too new. I realize it's borderline, but I think it's in the right spirit.
