Subject: [CR]tubulars for sale

Fellow CR types: I have (courtesy of our own Sterling Peters), 1 pair of brand new - never ridden Clemente Del Mondo tubular tires. Yes, the 28mm monsters. Sterling had 2 sets of these for sale to the CR list & I snapped one pair up before adequately checking the clearance on my bike. The front fits fine, but the rear just clears the brake bridge but not the brake caliper. The front tire has just been glued to the rim, but not ridden. The rear has not been glued. I was really looking forward to riding these as I thought they would be comfortable & fast, and just a little different than the "hard skinnies" all of my riding buds are using. I paid Sterling $129.00 for the pair plus shipping. Seemed like a good idea at the time... $129.00 for the pair, shipped (to the U.S.A.) Respond off list, I guess? Thanks, Richard Rose (Toledo, Ohio) P.S. So, what is everybody's favorite tubular these days? (Smaller than 28mm!) Popular opinion seems to rest with the Veloflex Criterium 22mm
