i really want to buy one of
the lyons stems to use on a
rivendell all rounder, not a
classic bike. it's versatility
in flipping the stem holder over
to the top of the tube would help
getting added height. it's true,
though that they are nowhere
near as attractive as the major
taylor stems of yore.
i called mr.lyons and he very
mournfully informed me that he no
longer gets enough orders to cover
his plating costs.
if anyone is interested in
ordering one (he told me the plater
wants a 150 dollar minimum plating
fee) or if someone has a major
taylor type stem (which i'd prefer)
would you please write me?
