That is a mid-range tubing, probably seamed, but marketed as a technical advance at the time. #1 was Tange's top set (too light for a 25" touring bike!) and then it was eventually supplanted by Prestige... "Infinity" is supposedly a reference to the butting.. Rather than a mere single, double or even triple butt, this tubeset was "infinitely butted"! In fact, it was a moderate econo set, your noticing cheaper high tension steel (carbon steel, not chromoly) is correct, assuming this was not the fanciest bike in the line. There was not a matching "infinity" fork anyway... Still should be a fun ride I imagine!
