Based on the pale color of the box, I'll speculate that it is old, maybe late 60's. I'm interested to know if there is a <C> logo on the lower cup as was the case on the earlier models. I think it is interesting that the box is marked "nuovo" indicating that it is Nuovo Record or at least the nuovo version of Record. As far as I knew the steel headset was always just Record, as with the hubs, brakes and certain other parts. This may be the only true NR headset model. I am also inclined to think that this headset dates to the pre-SR superleggera days, back when the alloy pedal and the SL seatpost (which predates NR) were cutting edge stuff.

This is a new one on me. Never saw a box like that before!

By the way, I saw one of the holy grails this past weekend. It was a Campagnolo track pedal with toothed, aluminum (silver, not anodized black) plates, no bent edges around the holes in the plates and wrench flats without shoulders. They looked very fragile without the bent edges around the holes...

Can't even imagine what they would bring on eBay (they're not for sale).
