That reminds me of a attorney customer of mine who has an older Ferrari.. It takes a peculiar size tire which is not available from any manufacturer any more. So Ferrari has a deal where every x number of years they commission a run of tires and the customers owning these cars can pre-book however many they want and wait for the delivery. The case of the gum hood covers is kinda like the tires, they are an element that wears out routinely and conscientious manufacturers would hopefully provide a means to keep the equipment useable.. It's a shame Campagnolo (reportedly) has an indifference to their old goods.. Otherwise they would possibly be doing this themselves as does Ferrari.
