HETCHINS VADE MECUM PHASE II ROAD/TRACK, 1968, 25in, SA FM 4-speed, Campag LF Tipo front hub, Rigida 700C rims, Milremo bars and stem, Universal brakes, Campag Record chainset (undated and 144mm BCD - correct period for bike), Campag Record seat pin, Unicanitor black saddle. Red with white panels, chromed ends, headbadge and seat tube transfer. This bike is in very good condition with just a few very minor scratches to the paint. It is very unusual - the Vade Mecum Pase II lugwork is pretty rare and the frame has a boss for the Sturmey Archer pulley wheel, there¹s also additional fancy stiffening tangs on the fork blades. Pictures available. I could deliver this bike at the Cirque. $875

CAMPAGNOLO RECORD REAR GEAR c1963 This is an excellent early example of the Campagnolo Record rear derailleurs fitted with only lightly worn steel pulleys. It is in truly excellent condition with virtually unmarked chrome. There is no perceptible wear in the parallelogram bushings $135

CYCLO OPPY PEDALS These are in very good condition with smooth feeling bearings. They were originally made between about 1935 and 1953. $65

COLORAL FEEDING TUB this fits in most handlbar mount cages and was used to carry food rather than drink. It has quite a few insertion scratches and a few small dents but is very rare. $95

VEEDER MILEOMETER which appears to be in good working order. $25

SR ROAD CHAMPION BARS 1970s/80s BEAUTIFUL The centre engraved and machined section is virtually unmarked. These bars are 40cm wide and the centre diameter is 25.4mm. $25

BAYLISS WILEY LF GEAR HUBSET 1950s 32/40H gear sided (for multiple speed freewheel) hubs from the middle to late 50s. The bearings feel very smooth and alloy flanges are all in excellent condition. The chrome plating on the front hub is a little worn and the plating on the rear is showing faint signs of pitting but nothing at all serious. $65

KARRIMOR SADDLEBAG 1950s The canvas is quite a bit coarser than later Karrimor saddlebags and I think this one dates dates from the early 50s. Some of the leather edge trimming is missing but there are no holes and the straps are still fine. $45

STURMEY ARCHER KSW GEAR 1936 EXCELLENT Offered for sale is an excellent Sturmey Archer KSW (3-speed) medium ratio gear from 1936. The shell looks as if it has only been very lightly used. The KSW is the medium ratio 3-speed hub gear introduced in 1934 offering gears 16.6% above direct drive and 14.3% below direct drive. It was a development of the KS gear which shared the same distintively shaped shell. It will be supplied complete with all the standard Sturmey wheel nuts and a 15T sprocket. It can be used with any standard 3-speed Sturmey gear control. Reserve is a modest $135.

BSA DOUBLE FLUTED 7in CRANKS/CHAINSET - complete with 22T 1in pitch BSA chainring (equivalent to 44T 1/2in pitch) and a 44T 1/2in pitch chainring. In their time these BSA double fluted cranks were some of the best of their time and were considered superior to Chater-Lea and were used by almost all the top track riders both in Britain and on the continent. The chrome plating on the arms is pitted lightly in places. The 1in pitch chainring¹s teeth show just a little light wear; the teeth on the 1/2in pitch chainring are more worn but still perfectly useable. These cranks are very rarely seen in 7in length and are ideally suited to taller riders. $105

STRONGLIGHT 3-ARM CHAINSET 1950s -170mm cranks and 50/47T chainrings dating probably from the 1950s. The cranks have been very nicely rechromed. The chainrings are in very good condition with just a very small amount of pitting on the inner ring - the teeth are excellent on both rings. $110

BAYLISS WILEY UNIT FREEHUB c/w SPROCKETS NOS NIB - virtually perfect Bayliss Wiley unit freehub with built in freewheel and comes complete with 15/19/20T BW freehub sprockets. This design was introduced in 1938 and continued to be made until the late 1950s. $50

BLUEMELS MUDGUARD EXTENSION NOS Offered for sale is a virtually perfect white Bluemels front mudguard extension of the type favoured by many top British time triallists in the 1920s and 1930s. There is a little of the original packaging.

CLEMENT/CAMPAGNOLO TYRE PRESSURE GAUGE - excellent condition fitted I think as original with a Campagnolo head. It appears to be in working order but its accuracy cannot be guaranteed. $30

ASSOS SADDLE 1980s NOS excellent condition - Assos saddles were the top saddles of the 1980s and this one is unused but shows a very few minor shopwear marks. $55

CAMPAGNOLO SUPER RECORD PISTA CHAINSET 170mm cranks, two chainrings - a 56T and a 52T. The chainrings show only the faintest signs of wear. It is dated 1983. The only marks on the cranks are some light toestrap and shoe rubs. All the threads and tapers are perfect. $140

OLDHAM REAR BATTERY LAMP NOS NIB 1960s The metal parts are very lightly tarnished and is ideal for a 60s/70s bike.

HOLDSWORTH LA QUELDA 23in bronze welded (fillet brazed) frame. The frame number indicates that this is an early post WWII frame probably around 1948. Although it needs a repaint there is a lot of the original finish still showing including fabulous green and gold lining and a wonderful Œspearpoint¹ head tube. All the transfers are available and I can arrange for this frame to be refinished in the UK to the original design or can supply transfers both at extra cost. It comes complete with a Hobbs Lytalloy headset and a British bottom bracket. There is no frame damage apart from an inexplicable dent to the top of the fork crown on one side. This could easily be be filled with a little braze before rechroming. This frame will look absolutely gorgeous once restored. Photos are available. Reduced to $175
