\r?\n> For these little touches on frames I've always seen

\r?\n> it this way.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Frames in the 70s have no water bottle fittings,

\r?\n> custom buillders start

\r?\n> putting them on their bikes as a custom touch.

\r?\n> Production sees it is

\r?\n> popular, so production bikes start putting them on

\r?\n> about 1980. Then

\r?\n> custom builders put them on the seat and down tube,

\r?\n> production bikes

\r?\n> follow.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Same thing with the chain hangers. I am sure though,

\r?\n> that with recessed

\r?\n> brakes, it was dependent on who it was that made the

\r?\n> recessed nuts. I got

\r?\n> hold of some in 1984 that I would assume were made

\r?\n> in the Orient, and

\r?\n> fixed up several bikes with recessed brakes. Just

\r?\n> had to be careful with

\r?\n> those pivot bolt measurements. (Don't answer the

\r?\n> it)
